Anthony Xavier Young

Anthony Xavier Young, 17, of Zion, IL died on October 10, 2015 due to a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born August 29, 1998 at Evanston Hospital and grew up in Zion. Anthony was a senior at Zion-Benton Township High School and he worked as a host at Applebee’s in Zion. He also enjoyed many outdoor activities with friends and family. His infectious smile and caring heart is what drove his desire to become a firefighter and save lives. Survivors include his parents Carl Jr. and Jennifer Young of Zion; siblings Michaela Young, Matthew Young, and Haylie Young; big grandma Betty Severs; poppy Carl Young Sr.; his girlfriend Bre’yonna Brewton; and many other close and supportive family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle Mike Cardinal; and grandma Donna Baxter. Visitation will be Thursday, October 15, 2015, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Northpoint Church, 900 N Lewis Avenue, Winthrop Harbor, IL. Funeral services will be Friday, October 16th, at 10:00 a.m. at Northpoint Church with Pastor Tim Bycroft officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Memorial donations to the family will be accepted.
