Anita Pencak

1947 — May 11, 2021

Anita G. Pencak, 73, passed away on May 11, 2021. She was born in October 1947 in Booneville, MS. She married Ronald Pencak on June 18, 1966. They had two sons, Derek and Bradley. Anita attended her two grandsons and granddaughter, Alex, Willie and Bridgette, sports' meets: softball, soccer, High School swimming, gymnastics and school dance. Anita was very proud of all her grandkids and their achievements. Anita loved and lived for her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She was very active in her grandchildren' lives. She enjoyed planting, feeding birds and long nice walks. She was a member of Our Lady of Humility church for many years in Beach Park and currently she was attending the Waukegan Church of Christ. She worked most of her life at Beach Park School District where she made a lot of good friends. She leaves behind her two sons, Derek and Bradley (Jessika); two grandsons, Alexander and Willie, a granddaughter, Bridgette and great granddaughter Averie, her two brothers, Joseph Larry Bridges and Jim Hollingshead (Sandy); one sister, Wanda Adams; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Ron Pencak; her mother, Johnnie Hollingshead; and her brother Ronny Bridges. We would like to thank the Waukegan Church of Christ members for the unconditional support and loving friendship for Anita. We would like to thank the Congdon Funeral Home in Zion, IL and the North Shore Garden Cemetery in North Chicago for their support with the final arrangements. The pallbearers will be her two sons, two brothers and two nephews. A visitation will be held Monday, May 17th, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home located at, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will be private for the family. Donations can be made in her name to the Waukegan Church of Christ and Howe Elementary School in Beach Park.
