Andrew Richard Ester

Andrew R. Ester Sr., 24, passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2024.

Drew was born on  May 17, 2000 and was a resident of Zion, IL. He attended Zion Benton High School, and grew up playing football for the Zion- Benton Jr Zee Bees, and basketball for the future basketball and Winthrop Harbor youth league. In addition to his love of football and basketball, he also had a love for fishing. It didn’t matter who he was with, if he was fishing he was happy. Drew was a fantastic listener, whether you needed someone to talk to or just listen you could count on him.

Drew is survived by his son, Andrew Jr.; mom, Jessica Timm (fiancé Jason Angelopulos) ; step-dad, Steven Sr.; grandparents Dale Sr., Angie (Mike) Smith, Deanne Seibel; great-grandmother, Patricia; uncles and aunts, Danny, Desi, William Jr., Ed (Teanna) Seibel, Lynessa (James) Rissell, Christana (Mike) Jucius, Elizabeth Martin; siblings, Hayley Braim, Amber, Brandon, Breanah, Steven Jr Seibel, Ivy Hamilton; niece, Ember Seibel; and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Dale Jr.; grandparents, William Seibel Sr., Alvin and Marion Ester, and his best friend Anthony Young. 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. followed by a service at 5:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL 60099.
