Obituary of Mary E. Palmer

Mary E. Palmer, 86, of Wadsworth, IL passed peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father November 12, 2015. Born August 26, 1929 to Jess and Hattie Davidson in Rosiclare, IL. Married Virgil E. Palmer on December 7, 1946 in Rosiclare, IL and later moved to Waukegan, IL. She worked at Warwick Electronics and retired from Cherry Electric. Surviving are her two sisters, Loretta (Clarence) Santy of CA, and Lorene (Don) Turner of IL; one brother, Russell (Linda) Davidson of TX; her four children, Michael Palmer of CO, Daniel (Patricia) Palmer of Bristol, WI, Deborah (Ken) Pincombe of Zion, IL, and Clifton Wayne (Betty) Palmer of Pleasant Prairie, WI; she was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 29 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one grandchild, Kimberly Palmer. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Throughout her lifetime, her devotion to her religion has been the foundation of her principles and lifestyle. She gave her family and all those who came in contact with her firm stepping stones to build upon. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A celebration of Mary’s life will take place Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary’s name to Zion Church of God, 2700 27th Street, Zion, IL 60099 would be appreciated.
