Dennis Adell Chandler, age 65, of Zion went to be with his Lord on February 9th, 2015. Dennis was born in Bennington, Oklahoma on July 27, 1949, the youngest of 13 children having four brothers and eight sisters. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers—Jesse, Clay & Lee Roy, and five sisters—Edith, Mary, Kay, Verna & Linda. Survivor siblings include brother Charles of Green Bay, Wisconsin, sister Ann of DeSoto, Texas, sister Betty of Longview, Texas, and sister Barbara of Bennington, Oklahoma. In 1974, God called Dennis unto a lifetime of vocational ministry. In the following years, he served as pastor in two churches and one mission, served as minister of education in one church, and served in various volunteer positions in a host of churches. From the year 2000, he served for more than 10 years as president of Spiritual Dynamics, a small Christian ministry and Illinois non-profit corporation. Dennis was always a bi-vocational minister, that is, working at a job to provide his family with needed financial support in addition to what he received from the churches wherein he served. God used his technical degree to open doors of employment. From Zion, Dennis worked almost 6 years as an electrical design engineer for RPI in Racine, Wisconsin, then almost 3 years as maintenance supervisor for MeadWestvaco in Kenosha, Wisconsin, finally since 2010 as a technical product specialist for Grainger in Lake Forest, Illinois.
